Tips for better results
- Use a photo where the baby is facing the camera with both shoulders visible. Costumes are built onto the shoulders and chest, and a tight face-only crop leaves nowhere to put one.
- Soft, even light beats a dramatic shot here. Heavy shadow across a baby’s face tends to survive into the result and reads as grubby rather than moody.
- Start with two props, not five. Five props on a newborn-sized frame crowds the costume and pulls attention off the face.
- Generate four and judge the hands. Small hands are the hardest part of any baby edit, and it is the fastest way to spot the weakest version.
- Use the custom description for the setting rather than the outfit — "soft blue studio backdrop" helps more than restating the profession.
