Publiz vs Sprout Social

Sprout Social is a full social suite with listening, approvals and deep reporting, and it is priced like one. Publiz is publishing with AI attached. If your team lives in the suite, the gap is worth paying. If you mostly schedule posts, it is a lot of money for features you will not open.

Same job, both prices

Publiz Creator
$24 /mo
Sprout Social Professional
$399 /mo
Unlimited profiles, 1 seat

One person managing three brands. Sprout bills per seat, so headcount drives the price rather than accounts. Their Essentials and Standard plans stop at five social profiles, which three brands across every network we support goes past, so Professional is the first plan that fits.

Prices from Sprout Social's own pricing page, checked September 2026.

Who should switch, and who should not

Move to Publiz if

  • You pay suite prices, but what you really use is the scheduler.
  • Every new teammate means another full seat on the invoice.
  • You want AI help with captions, ideas and comment replies, without paying suite prices for it.

Stay on Sprout Social if

  • You rely on social listening. Publiz does not do it and is not planning to.
  • Posts have to clear an approval chain before they publish. We have roles and permissions, not approval workflows.
  • Instagram, Facebook or Threads is where you actually publish. Sprout ships those today. On Publiz they are coming soon, once Meta approves our app.

Questions

No, and it is not on the roadmap. Publiz is built around publishing: composing, scheduling, AI generation and analytics for your own posts. If tracking what people say about your brand across the web is part of the job, Sprout does that and we do not.

They stay with Sprout. Publiz starts collecting from the day you connect an account, and how far back you can look depends on your plan. Export anything you need to keep before you close the account.
